Som Tam by the pool, Ya Yai resort Hua Hin

As when most people often ordered a club sandwich or satay/chicken wings as their poolside snack. I took the pool side as street side and had my delightful som tam (green papaya salad with string beans/tomatoes, dried shrimp and peanuts). The sticky rice is pretty good to go with it. In fact Som Tam is a balanced and nutritious food as green papaya, tomato and string beans provide lots of fiber, minerals and vitamin, peanuts for protein, dried shrimp for calcium.

Five Whites out of the dark

Seldom see this kind of flower in 5 together.

In Azia, Sheraton Hua Hin

Another dinner at Sheraton Hua Hin. Another 4 years. Another camera. Another resort. Another thinking. Another dimension. Another future.

A moving castle - the pool side lounge at night, Yai Ya Resort Hua Hin

This reminds me of a friend of mine who is a big fan of all the Japanese animation movies by Hayao Miyazaki 宮崎駿, one of whose movies is called "Howl's Moving Castle (哈爾移動城堡)". With the lights on and the wooden legs, it looks like it can move by itself.

The pool, Yai Ya Resort Hua Hin

Don't you wanna have a drink by the pool? I did and it's simply a glass of tonic water.

Yai Ya Resort Hua Hin

1. The entrance.
2. The main building and its drive way front yard.
3. The lobby hall - this design is good to let the cool sea breeze in.
4. The reception - staff are very friendly and helpful.
5. The resort promotes a number of art pieces made by the students from Hua Hin University. Very encouraging.

More about Sa Sala One bedroom pool villa, Yai Ya Resort Hua Hin

Found out quite many interesting things in the room. Photo 2: place the miniature broom on the bed to indicate replacing the bed linen. Photo 3: A happy sign of "Do not disturb". BTW, at their turn down service, a book would be placed on the bedside. Check photo 5: I like the way they make things smooth and round. So comfortable to sit in the water.

Going upstairs - Sa Sala one bed room pool villa, Yai Ya Resort Hua Hin

On the 2nd floor, that's the pool and resting area. When I was on the 2nd floor, the white patio reminds me of Villa Maroc in Pranburi (Hua Hin). The pool looks a bit small but it's not in area. It's a 5x5m (25 sq m) pool as compared to most pool villas having a 3x7m (21 sq m). There is a fridge and a coffee maker (with beans ready) in the resting area. Very thoughtful. The resort was almost full and the clientele is more for local people (staying in villas) and foreign guests (staying in deluxe rooms in the main wing).

Ground floor - Sa Sala one bed room pool villa, Yai Ya Resort Hua Hin

The room is pretty ambient. I like the way they have the green surrounding the bed room. The bath room is very spacious with some simple design, in a very clean white color. It looks simple but very well equipped with everything needed from a nice JBL mini sound system to some fine bath amenities by Thann. There are some swaying white cotton curtain to let the natural breeze in. This is the real natural setting. Very comfortable.
