The restaurant, Nika Island Maldives

The resort has only one restaurant.  They fixed the same table for breakfast and same table (on the outside patio) for dinner.  It may be quite boring but good for those who save their time from choosing a table.  It's somehow not so nice if you stay for longer than 3-4 days.  Food is not bad in taste but the presentation and the variety seems to be not up to a 5 star resort level though it's not a major concern to me as I'd prefer the food quality to variety.

The big green and local plantation, Nika Island Maldives

This island is not that big that you can walk around the island in 5-8 minutes.  However, some very aged big trees could be found on the island.  Yet, the owner has made very good use of any space for growing herb and vegetable.  Photo 3 is their home grown passion fruit.  The pros are all these natural goodies but the cons are the little bugs around - found some cockroaches and got some flea bites.

Water villa, Nika Island Maldives

There are about 10 water villas on the north east of the island, surround by beds of house reef inhabiting vibrant marine life.  The villa is very different from most Maldivian water villa design.  It looks like a jungle hut but in a blue sea.  On the entrance, it's the living room and the middle corridor is the bath room and minibar/closet.  On the left it's the bed room.  The interesting part is the wooden stairs going up on the rooftop for some spectacular view at a higher angle.  The pavilion on the sun deck is also a plus to this unique water villa.

the beach of deluxe villa, Nika Island Maldives

The pros of having a private beach for each villa is your own little play ground.  This one is even with a outdoor jacuzzi (photo 5), a swing, hammock, sun loungers....etc.  The cons is that you can't walk around the island on the beach.
