4F, My Kitchen, Siam Discovery, BKK

It's getting so boring for me to try this kind of touch screen menu, and also really not so useful.  First, if the shops want to have this kind of touch screen menu order, simply don't think about some low grade devices that I really got mad at the touch screen.  Second. should be more user-friendly with some easy icons for asking for the food in some preference like "less salty, sweet"...etc.  Third, don't let the kids touch it as their parents may bear with 10 coke, 20 ice cream, 30 fried...etc.

Virgin Mojito, Schweppes

The first browse at this Virgin Mojito the fridge of the deli of Gallerie Lafayette made my choice for an afternoon drink.  It's so cool and refreshing right after a hot day outside.  The pastry of Lafayette is not surprising at all, but no complaint as it's just EUR2-3.

Kuppa Deli, Emporium, BKK

This deli has been in the newly renovated Emporium for quite some time.  Came here for their cheese cake and their renewed iced mocha.  This one, MO Deli & Paul are the top 3 for iced mocha in BKK!

Jones the Grocer, Emquartier BKK

It seems, wave after wave, various foreign deli and grocer have come to town.  This Koala's adorable Jones The Grocer has landed on the ground floor of Emquartier.  Tried their beetroot salad.  Quite impressive and I had to come back for trying their roaster of bread and other goodies.

Dean & Deluca, Central Embassy BKK

The first 2 outlets have been a bit inconsistent with their drinks and food.  I doubted if this new one in Central Embassy would be the same.  Yes, it is, and quite disappointing even this time their turkey sandwich wasn't in a sourdough bread, as described on the menu.  The half roasted chicken looks very "lonely" and dry too on the plate - we can comprehend this "lonely" plate if it's a fine dining, but this isn't.  Only the drinks peach soda and the ice cream can be at average.

Dean & Deluca, Chongnonsi BKK

Wasn't into this place much on the last few visits, either on their drinks or cakes.  After all, I'd still like to visit this place due to its deco. and high ceiling.  Their mocha and coffee have improved pretty much.  Got a small bite from the turkey plate and decided to get a whole portion the other day.  Turned out the 2nd try wasn't as good as the first one.  Quite salty and dried and the mashed potato wasn't good.  Quite a bumpy ride for their food quality.  The rainbow cake is only good for a look.  The cheese cake is average.  The bagel is somehow a bit too sweet.

Passion by Gerard Dubois, Cafe and Deli, Johnston Rd. Wanchai HK

Finally I find a right place for some real salad, sandwich and pizza at reasonable prices in Wanchai.  The others I had in Wanchai (Star Street) were a bit disappointing.   Salad is at around HK$40-60 depending on the size.  On the photo shown here is the largest.  Pizza at around HK$70-90.  Nice coffee too. The cakes and pastry are pretty nice though not the best.  However, there aren't enough seats in the shop.  Most of the time, I couldn't find a seat, except the first visit, I could take a photo of empty seats.

Pret A Manger, Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay HK

This sandwich deli is my favourite and regular visit whenever I am in London. Their dolphin friendly tuna is still impressive to me on how the tuna was caught in order not to affect the food sources for dolphin. When Pret A Manger landed Wanchai 8 years ago, I visited once and stopped it due to its unreasonably high price. Even when this shop had a branch in Taikoo Place, I didn't check it out. Until lately I got told a sandwich plus a mocha just cost around HK$40 something, I felt like I had to try it. I really miss their sandwich and their house signature pickled. What's more, they use some quality cheese and all in solid wheat bread. That's what we call a sandwich! Their mocha is also very pleasant and some very fresh milk is used. Unfortunately it is opened during office hours. The only time I can come here is Saturday noon time, but will miss their hearty soup which is served from Monday to Friday.

A steeping high Starbucks, Elign Street (Caine Rd), Mid-Level, HK

When I walked up to Caine Road on Elign Street, there I saw a Starbucks entrance on the back lane of Elign Street. It is so tall that it actually linked up to the main entrance on Caine Rd. For sure I had to check it out and had my favourite iced mocha and lamington cake. Starbucks is one the very few chain that would keep their drinks in consistent quality not just in HK but also many other SE Asian cities I have ever visited.

Agne's b cafe lpg, Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay HK

Took a pasta set with a linguini with seafood tomato and an iced mocha. Recommended to try mocha or any choco. related drink. Its choco. is in an elegant aroma and smooth in texture. The linguini is also in an elegant fresh tomato and the pasta is also fresh with egg and flour aroma. The food and the drink do go in the same mood of its fashion mode. Good for a light refreshing lunch during weekend.
