Sunset Bar, Carpe Diem Maldives

There is quite a large glass floor in the middle of this bar.  The glass is tinted that you may not see what's underneath.  The view is unblocked on the balcony outside of the bar.

Beach pool villa, Carpe Diem Maldives

In quite a few resorts in Maldives, beach pool villa's room rate can be higher than the water villas.  The noticeable difference is the secluded space.  Just looking at this one.  It's rather separated from the other units.

Restaurant of Carpe Diem resort Maldives

This restaurant isn't that quiet without guests or waiters around.  Need to promote taking photos considerately that we should respect the others for not having them in the photos wherever possible, especially when this world people are so self-centred about their being first and those selfies without thinking the others are captured in the photos/videos.
The buffet lunch is at US$45 net.  If taking out the tax, it's about US$35.  The food choice and quality is quite good.  Pasta was freshly cooked to your order.    Quite impressive in general.

Ocean Pool Villa, Carpe Diem Maldives

The room rate for a half board with this nice water pool villa is just US$300 net (incl. 22% tax).  It's a big bargain as compared to pool villas in Phuket or Bali (over US$600-700), but the water and the view of Phuket resorts are not comparable.  Even though the seaplane cost is pretty much, staying for more than 3/4 nights would then be justified.
It's also noted that in many resorts in Maldives bottled water are refilled as complimentary, unlike in the old days bottled water cost about US$3-5, thanks to the increasing number of international bottled water manufacturer like Coca Cola or Schweppes.
