From Bangkapi to Wireless/Chitlom, BKK

Sometimes we may forget taking the ferry service on the canal of Bangkok.  The recent years have seen increasingly heavy traffic of Bangkok.  Staying near the canal area would be a good consideration

I often enjoy checking some exhibitions and fairs held in several big department stores or malls.  Getting to know more and see more.

Charm Thai, Thai restaurant, Holiday Inn Bangkok

Got told about this place several times and glad that I could come here finally.  All the dishes here are very nice.  Though the Masaman curry isn't that Masaman (a mix of five spices of herb, peanuts and tamarind sauce), it's still a nice curry to me.  One little remark is that the prices are generally quite high considering the environment and food standard of this place.

Artur, a French steak house, soi Ton Son, BKK

Most of the dishes we tried here are so impressive, from lobster bisque, onion soup, bread, salad, beef filet, risotto, though the dessert somehow doesn't agree with me much.  I'd definitely come back here for their super bargain lunch set!

2012 Autumn review: dinner buffet at Espresso, Intercontinental BKK

The prime rib and the house-made ice cream are still kept at good quality.  All the other cold and hot dishes are at average to above average.  As noted, it wasn't crowded as before, or even considered as pretty empty.  Good for me to have an ambient dinner simply for the prime rib and ice cream.

 

 

Declining La Tavola, Renaissance Ratchaprasong BKK

I can only "sigh" to this once a super good restaurant... The only thing I still appreciate is their bread. Pizza is so so. Pasta is the worst - see the super thick sauce in it. Maybe one more thing to enjoy is their coffee. So next time I should just order a salad (complimentary with bread basket) and a coffee. Or the next time these 2 will be in the same consistency. 3 sighs....
