Monsoon wind, northern Maldives

From June to September, occasional strong monsoon wind could hit different parts of Maldives.  See how the big waves pounding the west wide of the below Dusit Thani resort in Baa atoll (northern Maldives).

As a result from the previous meal disappointment with their Thai restaurant, we were offered a complimentary BBQ seafood dinner at this place.  Though there were some prawns not so fresh, I couldn't make any further complaints.  The manager insisted to have my comments on the meal after all.  The fact was that the several restaurant outlets of this hotel weren't up to standard.  The better one could be this grill restaurant.  They made some nice mushroom soup and dessert though.

Didn't like this bicycle too much as the brake design is to reverse the pedals when you wanna stop the bike.  I prefer the conventional type with hand brakes.

Water Pool Villa, Dusit Thani Maldives, Baa Atoll, Maldives

Surprised to get a very good deal for this water pool villa.  The more coincidence was that I came to this resort a few days after visiting their mother hotel in Bangkok.  The room is very spacious in a cozy Thai deco.  Large sun deck with a nice swimming pool.

Calling for MO (Mandarin Oriental)

There was a time I had a joke with my friends about how MO's service should cover, including a personal signal transmitter to spotlight to the sky with a big MO's logo fan, as if you were calling for Batman.

This time I saw this fan cloud in the sky.  Reminds me of calling for MO.
