Another bicycle ride on Natai beach, Phang Nga, SW Thailand

It's been about 2 years I haven't rode a bicycle here.  Last time Aleenta insisted that I should wear a helmet.  I am not that type of person who wanna put on too many things for a sport, just like I don't wear a glove for the gym, no heavy equipment for scuba diving, no special clothing for riding bicycle.  This is my personal environmental way.  This time Aleenta didn't ask me to wear a helmet.  It's arguable if a helmet could help, but simply I would enjoy the breeze passing thru' my head when I ride on a bicycle.
1. Happy to see a bicycle track has been there along Natai beach.  This told this place is getting more popular, thanks to Aleenta.
2. Mai Khao Dream resort Natai beach now changed their name to Natai beach resort.
3/4. Natai beach
5/6. Iniala resort (just next to Natai beach resort) has been the hot pages of many travel magazines as it has some very unique design and of course at a "designer" price.
7. Supposed to be a new resort called Akyra Phuket beach club (about 500m. north of Aleenta).

Breakfast at the Edge, Aleenta Phang Nga, SW Thailand

Aleena has put their breakfast place at this new restaurant on the beachfront.  Besides, it gave up the trays for those cold cuts and dessert.  Instead, it's on the buffet table.  More choices of bread, fruits and variety of eggs.  Interesting that I take egg benedict for those mornings but I seldom take it at other hotels.

2 BR sea pool residence, Aleenta Phang Nga, SW Thailand

It's always interesting to explore Aleenta for their various room types.  Even in one category there would be 3 different room types for just 5 rooms, say for this Pool Residence.  Also, almost quite many people forgot this Pool Residence originally takes only 2 room types - 2 BR and 3 BR.  So this Sea type is a 2 BR suites having 2 ensuite BR on the left and right side of the swimming pool with a very high ceiling that on the upstairs there are 2 bathrooms.  The living and dining rooms are the middle with 2 sliding doors to the sun lounging area and the pool.  So the other room types is the 1BR Sky duplex with a plunge pool and a 2BR Earth type, which these 2 used to be combined as a 3BR suites.
No doubt, this 2BR sea type pool residence takes an unbeatable panoramic view to Natai beach.  Very spacious with 300 sq. m.  It's quite tired though for you to walk around in this residence.

Another mission at Aleenta beach, Phang Nga, SW Thailand

Another mission: laying eggs at Aleenta beach.  Since Aleenta has run their own turtle's preservation farm in Thai Mueng beach (about 25km to the north), it's safe to lay some eggs here.  After that, Mr. Turtle went to check out the 3BR beachfront pool villa where there used to be quite much fun for many friends.

Highlight on the dessert, The Edge, Aleenta Phang Nga

It has been 2 years I haven't been to Aleenta and this restaurant.  Didn't get much impressed with this place since it used some local instant noodle with blue crab as a fusion dish but charged at THB600.
This time I am happy to see they offer an Italian menu.  So we chose a quinoa salad and a porchini soup.  The salad is very nice with some lemon zesty and smooth eggplant slices and some cooked carrot, making the whole dish very fresh and also taking out the chewy and muddy aroma of quinoa.  The prochini soup is good though it's a bit too salty.  Mains are the stuffed barracuda filet and roasted chicken breast with pomegranate salad.  Perhaps the salad and the soup is too filling that we couldn't finish the mains.  The chicken breast is a bit overcooked and too dried out, but the side salad is delicious.  The fish filet is good too but a very big portion.
Out of curiosity, we had a tiramisu as a dessert.  Much beyond expectation.  Very lovely home made dark choco. ice cream with some brown biscuits crusty to go with.  The tiramisu is in a very smooth and rich coffee liquor aroma.  I believe this dessert would be something I would very much like to re-visit this place again.

Mr. Turtle's roaming diary - 2,500 km swimming to Natai beach, SW Thailand

Mr. Turtle swam across the Indian Ocean from Maldives, passed the Bengal Bay into Andaman Sea, in a distance of 2,500km.  Finally it reached a beach for the turtles preserved area - Natai Beach.  2,500km isn't a difficult job for Mr. Turtle and yet its biological GPS got him to this beach.  So as a rewarding life, he has to visit this small luxury hotel - Aleenta Phang Nga.
1 to 3: finally landed Aleenta beach.  4/5/6: lounging in the beach and pool.  7: get ready to check-in. 8: gotta be on the highest floor - Sea Pool Residence with 2 bedrooms.  9/10: press 3F.  11/12: here I go - my pool residence.  13/15: Chill in the pool.
