This lounge is very different from the other airport lounges in China. Very classic Chinese deco. and not crowded at all.

(North Easterners dumpling shop), Sanya, Hainan Island, China
Just like LuLu time that I went to Shen Zhen and Canton in the late 90's and early 00's, this shop was my favourite in Canton. Back then there were only a few branches but now over hundreds across the whole mainland. I'm happy to see it being maintained at a good quality and service too.

The Spa, Banyan Tree Sanya, Hainan Island, China
CX Holidays often has some bargain package with quite some added benefits. Just like this one, it is with a complimentary 2 x 60 min. hydro therapy spa (value RMB500 per person). I guess the hydro pool might not have been used for quite some time. The floor tile was getting quite slippery. Again, the service is very nice here. So the hardware isn't good but the software.

Breakfast at the restaurant, Banyan Tree Sanya, Hainan Island, China
The breakfast is a bit better than the lunch though not the best. At least a wide range of fresh juice and bread selection. Salad is nice too. Service is maintained at high standard. So overall I am still happy to take breakfast here.

The beach (Lover's bay), Banyan Tree Sanya, Hainan Island, China
The resort told me not to swim in this area because it's not too wavey. I didn't query his question as I believed what he meant is that the water is quite stagnant here as there isn't any sea wave and current in. That led to the water quality being not so good for swimming.

Don't take me Lu Lu
This almond drink Lu Lu was my favourite in the early '00s, especially when I visited Shen Zhen, Canton quite frequently, and somehow this drink is more popular in the South.
In the early '00's, a couple of good friends used to go to Shen Zhen for foot massage, because one friend got quite much pain with her ankles. Under a recommendation from a good friend, we got to find a decent foot massage place. We went there during day time and everything looked so decent.
Then there was a time one friend suggested staying over night for watching football game, while we could enjoy a late night supper. So after we finished the massage at around 9pm, the whole place got a "face lift" with some pink curtain down and purple lighting on, and the staff roaster got changed too. We seemed to go into another world. There came an unfamiliar guy passing behind me speaking softly "Want Lu Lu?". Since this Lu Lu almond drink was one of my regular choice in this massage place, I then replied "A cold one please.". That guy came back and got annoyed "Lu Lu lady!".
So I promptly went back to the group and told what I ran into. We all burst into laughters. After a few minutes, we decided not to leave the room, like a vampire was out there.
Whenever I saw this drink again, I couldn't help with a smile..., and think of someone's cheerful laughters.

The restaurant, Banyan Tree Sanya, Hainan Island, China
If a five star resort restaurant are charging high and offering the high quality of food, then I wouldn't bother to go out for other choices. After the first lunch at this restaurant, no matter how much I need to pay to go out (taxi fare about RMB60-100 roundtrip), I wouldn't mind the time cost to go out. This lunch is a really rip-off and the food is so so. The Yang Chow fried rice is at RMB98 - very small portion and cheap ham was used. The chef apparently didn't know what Yang Chow fried rice is. At least the basic ingredients are shrimp, bbq pork and green beans. Then I ordered a stir fred hand shred noodle with beef (RMB148) and a bitter quard (RMB98). Even though the food is not good, at least the presentation should be better, when charging at this price level. The portion is very small too.
