A soup? Osteria Cicaclone, Florence, Italy
What do you think about this in the photo - a soup, salad, pasta, risotto, pizza, bread, pie or ice cream? The first photo is a soup - a Florentine Tomato soup (it's with some bread, tomato chunks and paste). 2. Tuna salad. 3. Ravioli 4. stuffed cheese in pork roll. All I can say "not to my palate" - heavy solid soup, unfresh tuna, fluffy ravioli and a dried out rolls. Don't know why this one is ranked as the no. 2 restaurant in Florence. Can't trust all those foodie app.

Osteria Pastella, Italian restaurant Florence
I believe this restaurant is the best among all those I have tried in Florence, in terms of service and food quality. The lady who served us is very elegant from the way she smiled subtly and gently spoke. As when she knew we shared all the dishes, she asked for the waiter to split all the dishes in 2 plates for serving. Very thoughtful indeed! I really hope to come back here soon for another meal.

The Corner, Italian restaurant, Florence
Just like I mentioned in many earlier posts, I often notice the clientele of the restaurants. This one caught my eyes. Got a tuna orange salad - very nice as the zesty flavour goes with the tuna meat. The other high light is the olive tomato pasta. If the pasta is fresh, tomato fresh and some fine olive, this is the best pasta to be. This shop made it. Chose a grilled octopus (noticed quite many local restaurants serving octopus) and impressed me a lot. The octopus wasn't tough in texture but rather soft but yet very fresh. Since all the dishes are so nice that I have to get some dessert though very full. The almond sponge cake and the choco. brownie. Glad that the portion isn't big and it's good to remember this whole meal with this hearty dessert as a completed full meal.
