View to Bangkok city, Thailand

The below photos were taken from Centara Grand at Central World and the good part of staying in Centara Grand is that all the guest rooms are with very nice view to the Bangkok downtown area.

1. the Temple between Siam Paragon and Central World. 2. Siam Paragon on the right and Novotel on the left.

3. Vie Hotel on the middle left. 4. Grand Diamond the left. Bayoke tower in the middle behind and Amari Watergate on the middle right.

5. Pratunam area and the fashion outlet mall on the middle. 6. another view to Petchburi area. Grand Diamond on the right. Next to it and a bit far behind is Center Point soi 15 - the first Center Point serviced apt. and it's also the one I used to frequently stay in late 90's.

7. view to Chitlom and Zen. Inter-Continental on the left and Zen on the middle left. Close to it on the middle right is Grand Hyatt. 8. Central World office building. A few years ago I visited an office in this office building and first got to know they use a code key card to reach the floor you wanna go. The reception would ask you which floor you go and give you a code key card and you just scan it inside the elevator; so it would get you to the floor. It's quite good for security.
9. Novotel Siam Square was the first few choices of hotels I used to stay in mid 90's before I started my time with Center Point and other serviced apartments in Bangkok.

Kao Mun Gai (Chicken Rice), Pratumnam, Bangkok

Passed by this shop in August, 2008 trip but didn't go in. Used to try their chicken rice when I stayed in Center Point soi 15 Petchburi - just 5 minute walk to this acclaimed the best Chicken rice shop in Bangkok. I was told that the chicken and rice are not the main parts. It's the sauce that local Thais like. So for me, I am not much experienced in the sauce. The chicken is quite nice and the rice ok too, but not a big "wow" surprise to me. Anyway, it's still worth a try if you are around Central World/Pratunam area.
