Queen Victoria Market Melbourne
It was around late lunch time when I got here. Most stalls were closed. Found out the prices of those fruits are even a bit more expensive than those of supermarkets.

Old Market Hall, Helsinki, Finland
This old market has been in Helsinki over 130 years. There are many food stalls and groceries for you to shop. Though most of the products are either deer/elk or various berries, it's still nice to check out this place.

Central Market, Budapest
A bit surprised to see that the locals eat all parts of the poultry, from chicken neck, liver, heart & feet. This could be controversial when some claim the others for not consuming the whole of certain food, when they don't eat all parts of what some common poultry like Chicken & pig. Or could we claim it as an environmental protection issue?

Souq Waqif, Doha, Qatar (part 1)
This place wasn't yet too touristic as I read it as ranked the no. 1 sightseeing in many local tour guides. It is so large that you can spend a whole day to check out each quarter, from spice, daily commodity, clothing, falcon, camel, horse.... and a wide variety of restaurants.

The new Rot Fai (Train) NIght Market, Ratchada, BKK
Interesting to find quite a lot of hair salons in this night market. Later on we passed by a Pad Thai stall and noticed the hot stir-frying. We expected it should be something a very aromatic stir-fry. Ended up the noodles were "die-hard" chewy. Then I further checked on the cooking hot plate. The cook put all the noodles on the sides of the plate and just put some of those with other ingredients for a quick stir-fry. Then we proceeded to try other stalls for a grilled fish and a somtam. One word - Forget it. We then went in Esplanade mall for a simple "8" noodle soup.

The market, Annecy, SE France
I've always enjoyed browsing markets in Frnace. This market in Annecy is even better than those I have visited (e.g. Cannes and Nice). The fruits and other produces are really rich. Plums and chestnuts are the biggest I have ever seen. This place is gifted with all these natural resources. I believe it's attributed to the nearby snowy mountain and lakes. It reminds me of Hokkaido where there are snowy mountains and lakes too.

A lunch at Central Market, Florence
Regardless of what the waiters said, we decided to try the restaurant for their 2nd floor. Ended up it isn't that bad for having the dishes not right from the bar kitchen to the bar table.

Central Market, Florence, Italy
The local food market is the place for us to see more local culture and living habit. On the ground floor of this place, there are many veggie and meat stalls. On the 2nd floor, there are many restaurants taking the benefits of the food from the ground floor. On the 3rd floor, there are some quieter seating areas of the restaurants downstairs. As I was about to go up to the 3rd floor of a restaurant, I got advised to stay on the 2nd floor simply because it's getting closer to the kitchen and the food should be consumed right away from the kitchen. If the dishes stayed on the 2nd floor for delivery, that would be at least one minute late. I'd certainly agree to it, especially when you order a pasta and pizza.
