Water world, The Residence Maldives

Every time when I am in the sea, I would think about that human being are living on just 1/4th area of the Earth.  In proportion, our marine life should be the master of the Earth as they occupy 3/4th area.

When the wind blows - at the Residence Maldives

Just like any other places in the northern hemisphere, the weather can be quite extreme during the monsoon climate shift in May.  When the wind blows, the storm would come very soon, together with the big wave.  Though it can be quite bothering, the rain brings vitality to the scarce land area of this beautiful country.

The Library, The Residence Maldives

Spent 2 hours at this library after checkout and before the transfer for the domestic flight to Male.  This place is very ambient with a nice ocean view.  I somehow prefer it to be a restaurant.

2 bedroom water pool villa, The Residence Maldives

On the brochure of this resort and various packages promotional leaflets, the 2 bedroom pool villa on the end strip of the water villas is the highlight.  The pool of this villa is almost 3 times of the 1 bedroom pool villa.

Falhumaa, restaurant in the ocean, The Residence Maldives

The restaurant is named after the name of the island Falhumaafushi, as Falhumaa.  The restaurant is situated on the outskirt reef reaching the deep bank of the island.  It is of quite some walk but very nice if it's a breezy starry night.  As noted the place being very unique, I already asked about the dress code - with shoulder and ankle covered up.
The place offered very high standard of services and cuisine.  I like the way they have the a-la-carte menu to remark the supplement charges on dishes which the HB/FB may not fully cover.   The prawn cake and mushroom are awesome (photo 6/7).  Got the poached chicken roll (photo 8) and pan fried house reef fish (9).  Very professionally done.  The next day we tried the beef mignon and poached cod.  Another impressive meal!  I like the way all the food were served at a perfect timing and temperature.  That made a very difference.  The flaw would be the dessert - much too sweet and thick.
