Goodbye Meeru Maldives

This resort is really big that I could spend a day on the north side and another day on the south side.  The room type diverse from garden room to honey moon suite, catering for each person's budget.  The house reef may not be attractive here but the fishes are and yet the water level is quite even that you wouldn't feel scared for getting too deep except for a few big holes.

Friends at Meeru Maldives

Seen many various species of fishes but only could take 1/3rd of those as some of them swam super fast and so timid and self-defensive.  Better give them a respect from not scaring them too much.  All these fishes are quite friendly in general but remember not to move too fast in the water and don't touch them, especially those "lion" fishes (photo 4 & 7) and box fish (photo 8) as they (their skin) might be poisonous (can't blame them as they need to self-defensive when they can't move rigidly).

Some scenes at Meeru Maldives

Photo 1: something from the bathrobe can be used in this way.  I saw some taking a rope around their body waist.   BTW, the water level of 99% area of this place is just about 2-3 feet deep.  Interesting that they swam more than 400 meter away.  If they are afraid of getting adrift, why swim so far away.  Yet, they wouldn't feel embarrassed when occupying some others' area.  Photo 2: noticed that they put on a heeled shoe with 4 inches thick.  Photo 3: they rinsed the towel.

Eating at Meeru Maldives

Like some of the local resorts, this one has a dress code all day long from breakfast to dinner.  What's more, you need to take the same table throughout your stay.  So you would get acquainted with someone sitting around you.  So I had some chats with a couple from Switzerland.  HK has been so famous for the occupy issue.  The couple claimed that they are not pro the occupy action as it's not right to hijack the others' freedom.  I am glad that someone wouldn't be affected with the labelling of the western reporting.  So smart people wouldn't get influenced with the media if they would tell how the report's bias is.
The food of this resort restaurant is at average.  I prefer their sister property Veligandu.  I was a bit surprised with the Chinese sticky rice dumpling found in here and it's pretty good.
