Chill Cafe, Kowloon Bay, HK

Chose this place for lunch because it's not crowded.  Got a lunch set with a salad and main.  The salad was a bit not fresh.  I took a slow cook chicken breast.  I personally didn't like the way using a slow cook heater to cook food as it's not hygiene enough and wouldn't kill some bacteria thouroughly.  Ended up I got a tummy sick from this meal.

Amoy Garden over the fence 耀躍淘大

Amoy Garden was severely hit during the SARS time in 2003. During such time, an apt. of around 400 square feet was just HK$500k. Now it is over HK$ 3 millions. It was once in the fence and now it's way above the fence. Bravo!

Our old friend Kai Tak

When I saw the broken flyover, I felt kind of sad, as it carried so many vehicles and people to reach the terminal of Kai Tak.

Choi Hung Estate, aka Rainbow Estate Kowloon HK

Choi Hung Estate aka Rainbow Estate is in between Diamond Hill and Kowloon Bay.  The last time I was here I was with my aunt to shop for something.  I still remember the inner circle of this place and the interesting food stalls around.  This time I had a very nice soybean drink (photo 4).  So good to recharge my long walk.

Thai Chili, Telford Plaza, Kowloon Bay, HK

Hesitated to get in this restaurant but no other choice as Crystal Jade and other wanted restaurants are so full. It turned out it's pretty good and surprised it's quite local Thai flavour, especially on the Masaman curry (photo no. 5). It's very Southern Thai style with some whole peanuts in it. The Hainanese chicken is also nice and at least it's a fresh one. No. 7 is also a nice one - I ordered it right away when I noticed it's available on the menu. Though it can't be compared to the one I tried in Thung Kruen (BKK), it's still in a very Thai flavour, with the tiny chili and diced lime. After I ordered the food, I noticed most of the staff are Thais and they speak Thai among themselves, and they have a tender Thai smile. So warm! BTW, they also use some Thai sauces, like the oyster sauce on the veggie. Now I have one more choice for Thai restaurant.

Telford Plaza 德福廣場, Kowloon Bay, HK

This place has quite a no. of attractive restaurants like Crystal Jade, Imperial Kitchen 仿膳飯莊, Lei Garden, Chee Kee池記 Won Ton, Jing Tao 正斗 (I don't like this one though) and many other chain restaurants. It's a very busy and versatile shopping mall in Eastern Kowloon.
