Seafood grill platter, by Asian Wok, Vilamendhoo Maldives
Noticed there was a promo. offer for a seafood grill set at US$90 net (supposed you have a full board meal and this is an extra price). The set covers a lobster, 2 tiger prawns, 2 tuna filets, some squid and mussels. It was said to be good for 2 persons, but I'd feel like some bread, rice or pasta to fill it up. The lobster and tuna were quite fresh, but the tiger prawns were somewhat marinated, probably good for a longer storage time.

Local cuisine in local culture and living paintings, Vilamendhoo Maldives
Placing some photos showing the local culture and living, did make all the local dishes taste more locally authentic.

Vilamendhoo, South Ari Atoll, Maldives
Vilamendhoo has refurnished its rooms, with new bedding, cabinet and wall painting in a lighter colour. The room rate on full board for this water villa with a panoramic view is just around US$300 net. In taking out the 3 meal cost, the room is just around US$70-80 net. That's why I often told the others those hotels in Phuket and Bali are much more expensive than those in the Maldives.

Swimming with fishes, Vilamendhoo Maldives
Snorkelling at Vilamendhoo is so enjoyable. Just only 15-20 feet away from the shore line, you could reach the deep water cliff and see the house reef. You find yourself surrounded by thousands of cordial fishes showing you how beautiful they are and how much they enjoy in this water.

Jacuzzi Water Villa, Vilamendhoo, South Ari Atoll, Maldives
There have been a few times I hoped I could have brought my friends to try this resort again. Unfortunately, all rooms were fully booked. This time another group of friends would like to make their first visit to Maldives. We planned 6 months ahead and there we made it this time. Also, this trip was meaningful for my friend who was very thoughtful of bringing their family members from the age of 4 to 72. Ended up everyone enjoyed the trip so much.
