Business/First class lounge, Finnair, Helsinki Airport

A few minutes after I took the photo of this lounge area, it was crowded with guests standing and eating.  The seats were just right outside of the rest rooms.  The meal and drink choices were quite limited.  I could say this is the worst travel lounge I have ever been to.

Cafe Espresso, Helsinki, Finland

It's nice to see some places we have been before, like this chain cafe I have been to in Copenhagen.  Perhaps I started to less milk, I somehow found this mocha a bit too rich with milk.  The lemon tart was double heavy and sweet.  Supposed I was looking for a nice ambient place for a break.  Unfortunately there were a couple of local people talking so loud that I had to leave promptly.

Breakfast at Krog Roba, Hotel Lilla Roberts, Helsinki, Finland

This restaurant was quite popular for the locals as I could tell from their lunch and dinner time.  Their breakfast was quite impressive, from fresh orange juice to coffee, a wide array of bread and cold cuts.

Old Market Hall, Helsinki, Finland

This old market has been in Helsinki over 130 years.  There are many food stalls and groceries for you to shop.  Though most of the products are either deer/elk or various berries, it's still nice to check out this place.

Haiku sushi buffet, Helsinki, Finland

Just like most tourists often say "eat locally", as when I see many local people being much into sushi buffets, and further I checked on the price EUR12.90.  Why not eat locally this time.  What's more, in this kind of chilled weather, eating raw fish should be safer.  I was a bit surprised that the wasabi serving in this restaurant was very strong - even stronger than those I tried in Japan.  It was really refreshing and also appetizing.

Ravintola Aino, Helsinki, Finland

This place was in front of the.promenade park of the center.  It seemed not many places serving a bit more fine dining Finnish cuisine.  Perhaps the locals aren't much into local food as I have seen many Japanese sushi buffet restaurants and burger houses.
Chose a salmon celery salad.  Thought it could be at least a bowl size but it's less than half of it, and it's about EUR25.  The salmon soup was much bigger than expected and good for 2 persons.  It's about EUR22.  This is a fresh cream soup as it's made with fresh flour blended with butter as the soup base.  This should be the way of an original cream soup, not a thick soup.  On the mains, we had the stewed beef and pork, and the other as the 2 sided fish filets (perch/herring).  Both dishes were quite creative but a bit too oily to me.  So I just finished half of it.

The iconic buildings in Helsinki, Finland

Didn't take too many photos of the iconic buildings due to the extremely cold and windy weather.

Did you know...., at Helsinki, Finland

Not the first time I have heard of this.  The issue was the water going through from the source, via various pipes to get to the tap.

Swimming at minus 7 at 35km/hr wind, Helsinki, Finland

Outside of the port, there were a warm swimming pool and a natural sea water pool.  It was minus 7 at 35km/hr strong wind that day.  I even couldn't stay for a minute in this open area.

Hesburger, Helsinki, Finland

I'd suppose Hesburger to be derived from Helsinki Burger.  As I noticed there was a rye multi-grain bun, I was curious to order one.  If the other burger shops could offer this bun, I'd prefer them.  The good thing about this place was that they freshly made the burger and the French fried too.

Standard room, Hotel Lilla Roberts, Helsinki, Finland

After I booked this hotel, I found out it's in the affiliation of Small Luxury Hotel.  Pros and cons if you like some design hotel for something chic or sleek design.  Practically, some design hotel is really a design and I do hope to have a room having more drawers or decks for placing the clothes.  The most boring contemporary design is the walk-in shower.  I had to carefully take the shower for not splashing the water to wet the floor of the basin/toilet area.  The ventilation was a bit too strong and the absence of the heater made the shower a bit too cold.
