2 in a class, Business class, HKG - Siem Reap, Cambodia

When I joined the CX insight intranet forum last year, one of the topics was on a suggestion for a bundled premium fare (premium and business class).  Earlier this year, CX introduced it, and definitely I took 2 sets of this bargain sale.  I then chose one of the spots as Siem Reap.

When I got on board, I was told that the tray table wasn't too firm by a smiling invitation: "you two are the only 2 passengers in this business class section - about 24 seats.  You can take wherever you want.".

Tell Steakhouse, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Noticed this steakhouse was quite crowded; so I came in for a try.  Got a NZ beef filet and a spaghetti Bolognese with some veggie side dish.  All the food were pretty nice, and the best was the "piggy" buns.

Park Hyatt Siem Reap, Cambodia

Some hotels look so trendy that certain basic facilities may have been overlooked.  This Park Hyatt shows it.  The receptionist is small as a store room (I couldn't take photo of it as it's not spacious enough for my wide angle lens 17mm - no exaggerating).  Further on, the swimming pool reminds me of the pool of Peninsula BKK - a one lane one way swimming pool.  This one is a bit better if you don't mind swimming more cautiously.

L'Escale restaurant, Victoria resort Siem Reap, Cambodia

It was so hot during the midday that it could reach to 38 degree celsius in Siem Reap.  As I checked on the drink menu, there I found a lemongrass ginger cool drink (photo 2), I had to get it right away.  Then there came a freshly oven warm bread basket.  Really got so appetite.  Got a Viet rice roll, a stir fried noodle and a tuna steak sandwich.  All were very nice.  Wish that this place was in BKK.

As I was looking for a hotel in Siem Reap, this one wasn't on my list due to the photos shown on their website weren't too appealing.  Turned out this resort look much nicer than their photos.  Besides, their restaurant is really good.  To be posted...
