Little white flower and friends roam in the sky

Some said taking nice photos needs a good professional camera, and some said a professional high end camera can take any photos to be nice. While I like a lot of my Canon L lens, I still like my FT1 and D-Lux 3 so much. The FT1 gives me never ending fun whenever it comes to water. Besides taking the white flower, I dropped quite many things in the pool, even Jimmy & Donald (at first I thought about just making them wet but I might be blamed for cruelty).

Donald & Jimmy, out in the dark

Have been chatting with Pixmation about my idea of getting a fierce look dry salty fish for a mysterious fish head with horrifying teeth in the dark. Unfortunately that fierce look salty fish was gone. I had a carpet search during lunch time in Wanchai market but failed to find a proper one, though I got one for my food purpose. To satisfy my trying for shooting objects in darkness, Donald & Jimmy immediately volunteered themselves as the models. Below were taken on 50mm 1.4 lens at 1/200 shutter speed, F16, ISO 100 with my ivory door at 2 feet away bounce off flash. Gotta need more time for practising.

Jimmy and Donald in Lanta island

Jimmy and Donald have been all the time with me on various trips but recently they have been very low key. So here they are in Pimalai resort to enjoy the place, the sun, the pool and some small friends. BTW, they are afraid of being kidnapped by some monkeys nearby.

Jimmy, Donald and Jason in MO BKK

As I got some feeback comments on the below blog about how Jimmy (the Geo Bear) arrived HK and hit the road with Donald (a cowboy dog given by my nephew Jason). Here are some photos of both of them and also Jason holding them at our breakfast on the riverside cafe of the Oriental Bangkok in 2006 summer. That was a very enjoable trip.
