Asked for an iced skimmed latte but it was so bland but yet too milky that I had to return for another one. This iced drink looks like a whisky on ice, but the iced water on the side makes it even smaller. The tart wasn't too impressive either.

Noodle soup, in the sunny Southern French dinning ambience - Provence, Gaysorn Bangkok
It's been years I haven't been to this place after it moved to the basement floor of Gaysorn mall. Even though a noodle soup is about THB120, it's still worth a try. Suggest you ask for "little spicy" as it isn't a "touristic spicy" if you expect it could be. If you are around in this area and feel like for a local noodle soup in a cozy environment to avoid the crowd, this is the place. Don't let their name and deco. mislead you that it's a Southern French cuisine restaurant.

Another good place to chill, at 1823 by Ronnefeldt, Gaysorn, BKK
Last time we tried their tea set and got so much impressed that we felt like for a second try. Not only their tea set but also the tart and other pastries are not to be missed. The only flaw is their mocha drink, very thin with chocolate (but they claimed 72% dark choco. being used) and light espresso, almost just 1/3 of the mocha thickness of Starbucks. Next time just get a tea or other drinks.

1823 Tea Lounge by Ronnefeldt, Gaysorn plaza, BKK
It was such a nice surprise we checked out this place in Gaysorn plaza. Service was good too.
Couldn't resist their high tea set. That's what we call a tea set - not those high carbo. tea set we tried in Singapore. The finger sandwiches, pastry, sweet to scones were all so good we finished them all. I don't like macaron but this place did a very good job. Yet it's not so sweet but so aromatic with almond egg white blended flavour. Good that we could have a place for high tea in this area, especially in such a start contrast wth that tea room by Grand Hyatt on the opposite Erawan still putting themselves on a heaven-high ground for the price but hell-worst level of services. Actually it's not fair to compare this place to Tea Room by Grand Hyatt, since it can be easily beaten by any restaurant or cafe.

Kuppa Deli, Erawan mall, Bangkok
Kuppa has been expanding with more deli in different areas of Bangkok. This time we tried this one at Erawan mall. Got a penne pasta in pesto cream sauce, mango bell pepper salad, grilled chicken breast on a bed of roasted potatoes and fish cakes. Though all these can't be compared to their headquarters, it's still a nice place when we think about getting something from Kuppa in this prime location.

OMU omelette rice restaurant, Central World, BKK
Got surprised that this shop made some very nice Japanese pork chop cutlet. It out-wins most other chain brands in BKK and even in HK too, as the pork is way much better than those we get in HK. The omelette rice was good too, especially the egg was cooked in a perfect texture. Need to return to this place and try more other dishes.

Lunch at Maxim's Bistro, The Grove, CWP, BKK
Maxim's Bistro offers a bargain lunch set at just THB259. When the salad and the main course were served, I didn't expect the portion is not proportionally smaller. Took a shrimp salad in lemon dressing and a mustard breaded chicken. Both are very nice. The waitress then recommended their signature cakes. Perfect!

Greyhound Cafe, Grove, Central World, Bangkok
It has been always nice to get a bite of Greyhound chicken wings at 4-5pm, together with their fruity shake or the signature iced lemon tea.

Charm Thai, Thai restaurant, Holiday Inn Bangkok
Got told about this place several times and glad that I could come here finally. All the dishes here are very nice. Though the Masaman curry isn't that Masaman (a mix of five spices of herb, peanuts and tamarind sauce), it's still a nice curry to me. One little remark is that the prices are generally quite high considering the environment and food standard of this place.
