Family Mart Cafe, Sukhumvit 33, BKK

Though there have been already some cafe corners in HK, Taiwan and Japan, I am happy to find this nice one so spacious and tidy and clean.  Would think about coming here to get an ice cream and enjoy it right away without bringing it back to the hotel.

All about crab, at Kani Honke, Sapporo, Hokkaido

Originally we were trying to look for a restaurant as requested by a friend.  Ended up it was so freezing cold and we still couldn't find it.  We had to look for a nearest place to get some warmth.  There we found this one.  When we walked in, the receptionist showed a sign board "full".  We still asked if we could get a table.  Luckily we got one and put in a nice private room.  We ordered a dinner set of crab meal at around JPY6k.  All the courses were so good that JPY6k is much worth it. 

A stressful stay for food, at Hoshino Tamamu, Hokkaido

On this 2nd visit, the whole stay turned out to be very stressful.  Waiting in line for check-in.  Waiting for someone to escort to a table (but quite many empty seats) at breakfast.  Hardly can find a lunch place when most restaurants were closed.  Ended up we had to go a long way to the indoor pool area for some quick lunch.  At dinner time, it took an hour to get a table.  Supposed a resort should be a place to relax, but this time it's worse than living in a busy city.

I bought a whole chicken years ago in Cannes and it was about Euros 8-9.  I thought that was a big bargain.  As when I kept on walking, Euros 5 and even 3.90.  Too bad I had a full meal already.  

Cafe de Turin, Nice, Southern France

Passed by this place around 11am and got attracted with its nostalgic deco.  The busy oyster parlour outside of the cafe further got me curious.  The menu is all about oysters.  No salad, no other sides/mains.  Ordered a dozen of 2 different farm oysters.  So fresh and delicious that it will be on my list in my future visits in Nice.

Paul, Nice, Southern France

I have been telling my friends about how good Paul Bangkok is, if they have ever tried Paul France or Paul Taiwan.  Even Paul SG/JP aren't as good as Paul Bangkok.  This time I had a re-visit at this outlet in Nice downtown.  I'd rather try the other boulangerie.

Hyatt Regency Nice, Southern France

The conventional HK travel agent Wing On offered some very special rate for many European hotels, almost 20-30% cheaper than those int'l booking sites like Agoda/Hotels.com...etc.  As a result, I found a special rate of this hotel and why not took it a try.

The hotel room is very spacious, tidy and a Hyatt standard.  The plus is the balcony to the city view.  Location wise, it's right in front of the Nice beach and easy access to the downtown area.
