Tried its cafe Milani some time ago, and I got curious to check out this glamourous mother shop in Sheung Wan.  The shop was connected from both entrances on Des Voeux Rd and Connaught Rd.  Came here quite late that it seemed to be not crowded.  The restaurant offers a 3 course lunch set with coffee/tea at around HK$250-300.  I took the Caesar salad, scallop rissotto and a cake from the shop.  I'd prefer the first 2 courses  .  Perhaps the cake I chose was a bit too sweet.

Expected that their coffee was the highlight but it's somewhat not that surprising.  However, their pastry was impressive.  Not bad to find another delight.

I'd prefer quality sushi rather than the quantity.  Not only the rice and sashimi are more premium, but also the side dishes and freshly ground wasabi make the whole meal more pleasant.

 

Sushiro, Sheung Wan, HK

This chain sushi shop has been growing rapidly and the long queue made it even more popular.  The sushi rice was quite nice and the seaweed soup was good too.  However, the mini-packs of wasabi was a bit too tiny that you may need to have 8-10 packs for a proper serving.

Tried their cakes and ice cream.  It's quite a classic flavour and style but a bit too sweet to me.  The coffee wasn't too aromatic.  Quite disappointed and wonder if the master chef might not have a good management team.  There are quite several branches opened in different areas at the same time.

Was glad when this one arrived last year and tried it several times which were very comforting.  However, at this latest visit, it wasn't the same.  The pork was much too seasoned and a bit dried out.

This restaurant reminded me of the very old time I visited their branch in Discovery Center of Bangkok.  That was quite pleasant that I re-visited that branch quite often.  Somehow I haven't been to any Outback for years.  Out of the blue, I came to this branch for a lunch set.  Their house signature brown sugar bread was served right after you ordered your meal.  In general, the mains (grilled fish filet and pork chop) were quite nice.  I'd prefer their spacious seating area in quite good social distancing.  This point was my priority to choose a restaurant these days.

Tried a lunch set with a Som tam and Pad Thai with a butterfly pea drink at HK$168.  The Pad Thai was quite nice but the prawns were a bit too soda-marinated.  After all, the whole meal was pleasant in a good Thai reminiscence.

There were times I talked to some friends about some ideas of converting human energy into electricity, such as those gym equipments to power back and stored the electricity in battery whereas the more you work out, the less you pay the membership fee so as to encourage those gym goers to work out more.  This time I saw this one which is good for people to work out to charge their phones.
