Deluxe room, Westin Qing Dao, China

Got a corner room with a view to the east and south side of the city.  The room is very spacious with a large sitting area and a big bathroom.  Very clean and tidy too.  The sound proof was a bit disappointing though not very bothering.

Aoi restaurant, Emporium, BKK

It's been more than 10 years I haven't been to this restaurant.  Every time when I thought of this place, I'd switch to Grill Tokyo.  After this re-visit, I guess I'll still switch to Grill Tokyo.

Standard room, Hyatt Place, soi 24 Sukhumvit, BKK

There have been more and more high rise buildings on this soi 24, resulting in a heavy traffic.  Towards the end of this year, Ibis/Mercure and Oakwood residence (opposite to Oakwood serviced apt.) will be launching very soon.  This has had some price impact on Hilton & Double Tree, Hyatt Place, Emporium Suites, Compass Skyview in the beginning of this soi.  As a result, Hyatt Place has sharply reduced its room rate to just HK$500-600 net.  The room is quite spacious with a big bed and a couch.  It's quite a good deal in considering its location of just 3 minute walk to Emporium/Emquartier.

Song Fa spare rib soup, Central World, BKK

Have seen this shop in Singapore expanding a lot and now going overseas.  Those branches in Singapore are much too busy that alternately I'd try the branch in BKK.  The soup was a bit hotter in pepper flavour than that of Singapore.  The other dishes were also quite Singaporean.

Red Diamond Specialty coffee, Central World, BKK

Asked for an iced skimmed latte but it was so bland but yet too milky that I had to return for another one.  This iced drink looks like a whisky on ice, but the iced water on the side makes it even smaller.  The tart wasn't too impressive either.

Town House, Siam Paragon, BKK

When I noticed it claimed to be from HK as a modern bar and cafe, I was curious to give it a try.  On the menu, I didn't find anything related to HK.  Tried the stir fried veggie with parma ham, beef noodle soup and the deep fried chicken.  The veggie was a bit too chewy and not so fresh.  The chicken was pretty good though.

Lunch set for 10, Chiu Chow Garden, Causeway Bay, HK

This lunch set is actually good for 12 though the dim sum is counted for 10 persons.  There were also a rice and noodle which weren't in the photos below.  

A cozy home, at Asoke, BKK

Visited some friends staying at a 2BR apartment in Aoke area.  The unit was owned by a local designer.  It purely expresses the character of the designer.  It also told how much the designer has devoted himself to his walk of life.  

Swimming pool, Hyatt Place, soi 24 Sukhumvit, BKK

The pool is on the 17F (total 29 floors).  On the hotel's official website,  the photos were taken from the low angle to avoid having the buildings be seen.   Besides, the pool looked twice bigger on the photo.  In reality, i's just a pool good for 8-10 guests.
