Jade Garden - a more diversified provincial Cantonese cuisine under the Maxim's group. The one in Carnavon Road TST was pretty nice but closed down due to the Mody Road area is undergoing a "revolution". Another good one is opposite to Lee Theatre on Percival Street, Causeway Bay.
1. This one is newly opened in the Causeway Bay Plaza Phase II on Lockhart Road side. The decoration is quite Chinese restaurant standard.
2. salmon & egg fried rice - one person's portion - HK$20. Not bad but you need to order at the same time you order the dishes. Otherwise, it will come late almost when you finish your meal. 3. crispy romaine lettuce with sesame dressing - HK$38. I often think cold dishes should be chilled enough and hot dishes should be hot enough. So this one is very chilled and the dressing is nice too!
4. Chinese style beef fillet - HK$98. The taste is ok but should be a bit stronger with more worcester sauce. Though I prefer a lighter taste, this one should be with more worcester sauce. Crystal Jade Siam Paragon BKk did this dish very nice. Besides, this one is a bit disappointing as it has the oil left out of the beef fillet (in Chinese we call 瀉油). The chef might not slightly soak the beef fillet in warm oil (泡油) and drained it well. Then when it is back to stir fried with onion and sauce sealed in, the oil leaked away from the sauce. Besides, the sauce should be a bit less - this way the onion would taste better. 5. Veggie soaked in fish maw and shred dried scallop - HK$88. The fish maw seemed not to have been well prepared - it smelled.
6. bamboo sheet with Chinese melon/dried scallop - HK$28. The reference photo has a whole dried scallop but when it's on the table, only a few thin shred dried scallop could be found. 7. grilled "half moon" duck - HK$98. Again, don't trust the photo. The photo showed a texture that the duck was really grilled. However, when it showed on the table, it's just deep fried. Anyway it's quite controversial because in most Chinese menu, grilled/roast chicken is just deep fried chicken. I don't know if there is something wrong with my Chinese or the "grill" in Chinese has a boarder meaning. So for this "half moon" duck, when it came to our table, it looked like it's a pigeon. Then I realised "half moon" means only half a month old. Sorry what a pity. I feel ashamed for eating a baby duck.... :(

8. mango pudding with mango ice cream - HK$35. Quite nice. 9. mango ice cream on a bed of herbal jelly and sago - HK$35. It's quite nice. Overall, I don't think I will come back to this restaurant.

I miss all the food in HK.
By the way, my friend in Toronto ready your blog and she is jealous of you. She goes to HK every year but she does not know 1% of the food here. Her husband is the one who used to think he is a good photographer but now he shuts up after seeing your cloud presentataion earlier.
Photography is very subjective. I should learn more about the lens structure and some other things in a camera in order to make good use of my camera. Thanks for the encouragement.
