Hotel review: Pool Access Room, Sheraton Hua Hin (Cha Am)

I like the way Sheraton Hua Hin set a big lagoon pool surrounded by 2 storey high buildings of rooms. That brings a very open wide spacious feeling. Resort should be like this without any tall buildings pressed on you, with abundant sunshine from dawn til dusk. There are 8-10room types of this resort, from garden view (2nd floor on the back side), terrace garden (ground floor on the back side), lagoon view (2nd floor on photo 10), lagoon pool access (the room shown here), club rooms on the same 4 categories mentioned here which is closer to the seaside and several sea front suites.
The room is very spacious with 2 queen size beds. Big bath tub and bath room. Nice amenities with good water pressure. The furnishing is also nice without anything sharp, especially the bath room wall and floor tiles and the swimming pool tiles...etc. Good for the kids to play without some sharp things injuring their skin. The pool water is very warm at over 30 degree. I didn't feel cold even swimming at the night time. I would recommend this one to family with kids. The kids would love swimming around this big lagoon pool in a size close to a football field.

I agreed 100% here.
Resort hotel shall have lots of sunlight with a warm and relaxing feel. Even better with warm water like this hotel. That is why Kempinski is not appealing to me at all after the visit.
The lagoon shape pool is a plus, makes me think of the lazy river in Pattaya.
This was exactly the one Roger introduced in TV that attracted me so much. I remember we have been here with the Angel but at that time no chance to see the nice pool yet.

Siam Kempinski can be a nice city hotel with "some pools" if it's in some countries where swimming pool or swimming is of some constraint. However, it's put in a wrong location Bangkok. Bangkok has a lot of nice hotels with very nice swimming pool. I would prefer Siam Kempinski to be run as a cosmo hotel to have some connection to Siam area. To be frank, they should have something like a all-glass oval shape design.

To me there is NO swimming pool at Kempinski.
I feel bad for people swimming there with limited space and be watched by all walk-ins.

as a five-star, Siam Kempinski only has two formal restaurants (Sra Bua and the coffee shop) and a few snack joints, so i don't know what is in its TH boss and farang management mind, maybe they reserve those eateries in the heaven (if not hell) for their future private benefit?

I guess their reply is that "eat in Siam Paragon". :)
