Lake Shikotsu, Hokkaido

All these scenes really make me wonder if I am on Earth.  Watching them for hours isn't boring at all and taking me out of my hustling city life.  

Jones & Mowlem, Fish & Chips restaurant, Emquartier BKK

Got curious to try this shop as we saw the dishes of the guests ordered look not bad.  Then we had a chicken salad, lobster bisque, clam chowder, fish & chips, baby ribs, and a pie.  All were quite nice except the pie.  Another plus was the service of this restaurant.  

The beach, Rayong Marriott

On the right side, there is a nice beach stretching along towards Rayong downtown area.  On the left, there is a rocky area where the beach pool is.  Besides, some beachfront villas are there next to the resort.

 

Fish Bar, Rayong Marriott

This restaurant is at the far left side of the resort with a view to the beach pool and the beachfront.  It might be one of the very few resorts that you can put on swim wear to dine in, though I'd still put on some light clothes to go in.

The food isn't too surprising, nor too bad, but I wouldn't claim it as authentic, as it's just some pan fried fish filet, pork chop and a lobster bisque.  Among these 3, the lobster is the worst.  The service is very slow that it took 1.5 hours to finish a meal. 

The beach pool, Rayong Marriott

This pool is on the left side of the resort.  As it's quite rocky in the beachfront, the resort made a sandy beach area for those who wanna have their sandy feet.

This pool is very family that it has a long curly design from the aquarium to the beach front - almost about 150 meter long.  Quite plenty of sundecks but put a bit congested.

Another delight of this resort is that they put a small aquarium with one side to the swimming pool and the other side to the hotel.  So on the reflection, you can see the pool, the fishes and the hotel.

Christmas in Rayong

The Christmas in this resort is also quite nostalgic.  In fact, I'm not so into festivals but would be good to see something raw and simple.  

Premium corner suite, Marriott Rayong

Moved to this corner suite for a nice panoramic view of the whole resort area.  This room size is smaller than the other one.  The bed is very comfy but the air conditioning is a bit too strong (even though it's set to the lowest level).
