Paid a 2nd visit to this restaurant for trying more about their dinner menu. From the clam chowder soup, seafood salad, steak, risotto, passion fruit cheeze cake to strawberry parfait, all were not too bad, but just a bit too pricey, e.g. soup at HK$75, salad at HK$180, steak at HK$350...etc. AE card can take a 40% off on Tuesday and 20% on the other days. So if without the discount, I wouldn't have come here for a try. *this one and SML (as posted earlier) are under the same group of The Classified.

上海小南國 (Shanghai Min), Man Yee Mansion, Central, HK
This branch is very quiet due to its location in Central Man Yee Mansion, where most people would go to Causeway Bay or Tsimshatsui for shopping and dinner after work. Not sure if that was the cause for the captain to solicit crabs and seafood. When the guests ask for a set menu, another service manner was given. Wouldn't mind about it as I won't come to this branch much, or unless we'd like to get a quieter place for dinner. The food was kept at this restaurant's standard. I still enjoy it pretty much after all.

Simply Life, PCCW Tower G/F., Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay, HK
This shop has improved pretty much that I am now ocassionally visit here for a sandwich and salad. Got a big box of salad that I usually bring back home for a 2nd and even 3rd part of eating. So in taking this into account, a HK$72 for this 3 separate meals is pretty environmental with my wallet. I can even claim it as my "sustainable" meal. Yes, no kidding. Several words have been widely abused - "organic" "sustainable"...etc. I find wording like "organic business" and "sustainable salad".

鵝記 Ngo Kee dessert shop, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon
Haven't been to Yau Ma Tei for a long time. There are a few shops I do miss, including this one. The original shop is in Temple street (still there), but this shop (close to Yau Ma Tei MTR on Nathan Road) is more spacious and at least I could get a table. Their red bean and mixed bean sweet (jar jah) are still very nice and aromatic. The red bean sweet is simply awesome! Selected red bean was used and slowly boiled for a long time. Highly recommended! Better get the hot one, regardless of the hot weather.

S M L, Food Forum, Times Square, Causeway Bay, HK
Noticed this restaurant in 2009 but somehow didn't try it, as the shop is a bit toyish and pricey. In taking the dining benefit of AE card, I wouldn't have come here for a try. Turned out it's just a fast food shop to me but not at fast food price. The shop has a theme for small/medium/large portion for the order. So I then of course tried small sizes and it turned out very small size (only 1/4th of a normal portion). However, the price is not that cheap, like the meat balls below (about 2-3 oz) is at HK$58. Then the steak (photo 2), at about 3-4 oz, at HK$98. So this meal, after a 40% discount, it's HK$450. Taste wise, it's just so so.

Business class review: HK to Phuket on Dragon Air
Just like its sister's company, Dragon Air has her house signature drink Blue Berry yoghurt (CX with their Kiwi Delight). The presentation of the menu looks quite appealing. Also a very warm bread roll was served. The main course isn't bad either. One thing I'd appreciate for Dragon Air to continuously serve coffee from Pacific coffee for almost 10 years. Though in the early days Pacific coffee wasn't my preferred choice (too diluting and the milk and choco. weren't good enough), in the recent years, Pacific coffee has been improving a lot. So at least this time, I would delightfully get one coffee on this flight

2013 Summer review: Breakfast of Aleenta Phang Nga, Phuket, Thailand
The breakfast of Aleenta has been quite controversial on the internet forum discussion. Some like it a lot and some don't in an extreme way. Over the years, their high-tea tray serving some cold cut, pastry and fresh fruits is still fine with me. The steamed basket of siu mai isn't what I appreciated. I like their variety of bread from Bavarian, Sourdough, Multi-grain, wheat, German rye, honey... Together with my favourite Sunshine morning glory (beet root with apple) drink, this is something I would prefer. What's more, their smoked salmon is nice too.
