A350-900, HKG-Doha, Qatar Airways

Finally I could try QR's A350-900 (last time they rented the LAMTAM A350).  The seat is still the same Herring Fish Bone design but I'd prefer this one to CX's as the cushion is firmer and the seat is wider.  The window takes a electronic curtain up/down.  As for the meal service, as it's a mid-night flight, I just got a grilled beef sandwich and then took a 6 hour sleep.  Prior arrival, I had a nice omelette  as a morning breakfast.  Overall, the crew service was awesome.  I'd like the cabin's ambience lighting - making you feel like sleeping.

As when I walked and walked in this park, so many picturesque scenes showed up right in front.  This one has been lingering in my mind for so long.....

My Fairy-in-Emerald's Amber, Sapporo, Hokkaido

Have been looking for this plant for a few months in HK from a friend's advice of this air-purifying and yet a "die-hard" friend.  Out of the blue on the 2nd day of this New Year, I found it and the shop even offered a pair of pots at a bargain price.  In coincidence, I ran into it on the long underground walking corridor in Sapporo.  The light made it so bright and sharp.  If it's named as a mother-in-law's tongue, I'd say it be a fairy-in-Emerald's Amber.

There are some places that I wish to go back.  This one is on the list.  The food or cafe aren't too impressive, but the ambience is.   This time they have a lunch set menu for a burger and coffee at JPY900 net.  The burger is very healthy with their house made pickled and some side salad.  How can I find such a place in HK or BKK.

A hearty lunch at Marumi cafe, Sapporo, Hokkaido

Happy that I could come here again for a cup of coffee.  The shop's ambience and the friendly services are impressive.  This time I discovered a very nice lunch set with a big sandwich.  Lots of veggie inside!  This could be the most healthy, delicious and yet at a bargain price at just JPY1,000 including a large cup of coffee.  This time I chose one from Guatemala.  So hearty and filling for the day!

High tea set, Park Hyatt BKK

Last time I missed this high tea; so I had to request to come back here.  The savoury bites seemed to be overtaken by the sweets, especially the ice cream in choco. coating in the misty presentation.  The set was a big bargain at just THB1,200++ for 2.  My friends and I agree that this place should have a single order of the misty ice cream in choco.

A Christmas dinner at Jamie's Kitchen, BKK

I'm not much into festive season, nor do I feel like taking a specific meal to go with the season.  This time my friends noticed there is a special set for Christmas - THB1,250++ (THB250 extra if choosing a beef filet).  So we went for a dinner on Christmas eve.  We chose a mushroom soup which is very good among the other starters.  The prawn cocktails was somewhat disappointing as some very bland frozen prawns were used.  I don't mind frozen prawns, but at least marinated in some seasoning or in a heavy cocktail sauce though I don't like it this way.  The main - beef filet made up for the prawn cocktail.  The sides (roasted veggie) were a plus.  The cod fish was nice too.  Another highlight was the parfait and the choco. tart.
