My cooking - clams soaked in salty soup 油鹽水浸蜆

I made a salty soup with pickled turnip and Chinese celery (*note the Chinese celery is in a stronger aroma than the western celery). First I boil the soup with the pickled turnip. Put 2 table spoon of salt, and 2 table spoon of oil and a few slices of ginger. Put the cleaned clams into the soup. Boil it until the clams open their shells. Then put the cut Chinese celery, and turn off the heat immediately. Then put some white pepper powder.

You must spend lots of time(and passion) on cooking.
Clam steamed with water egg is also delicious. And a fast dish too.

ok, for this seafood meal, I spent around 1 hour something, but with the help of the Filipino maid. BTW, I found out it'd better be for doing things by myself. I asked the maid to cut the pineapple and drain well the pineapple juice. However, when I put those pineapple chunks, I found out it's not well drained. Something unexpected but I then turned on the wok to extra-high heat.

You are very right. Sometime it is faster and more effective to cook(or do things) yourself rather than tell your maid(or some else) to do it and end up it does not turn out the way you want.

Cooking is something quite personal to me. I don't mind doing that by myself. There are times my friends and families often feeling not too good, just sitting there and doing nothing. Besides, I am a person who often concentrates on something without talking or even taking a phone call. I am like this also at my work. That's why my Chinese and Taiwanese business friends often asking me to log on msn messenger. I really hate that, all of a sudden someone saying "hi" and some icons coming up. That's really annoying to me. I don't think if it's because I don't have msn, those people will not contact me for business. If so, they should go work in microsoft instead.

Hehe... my friend said sometimes I have attitude. Sorry, but one rice feeds thousand types of people. I am just one of them. Take it easy. I don't mind the others using msn, but at least there should be someone who don't like. If it's mandatory, what this world can be?
