Silom - means windmill in Thai, was an agricultural area hundred years ago but now a commercial district. From the front section of Silom Road (soi Saladaeng) to the junction of Narathiwa Road (Chongnonsi), there are many street stalls selling a lot of fake products and illegitimate CDs/DVDs and t-shirts/tourist stuff....etc. This photo was taken on my sky train ride at 11:30pm and as you can see, almost no one was there. Not because the people don't wanna go out, it's mostly attributed to those boring stuff. Yes, boring because those stuff have been there for more than 15 years. What's more, expensive prices!

very bad business. Yes, I also found they sell very boring products. I like to go to the night bazzar more.
Last time I did buy some nice t-shirts and jacket from Suan Luang Night Bazzar. If compared to Silom, it's much better.
Last time when I was there, it was the same that very few people around there. Even the food stalls are not nice.

However, for those who pay their first visit to Bangkok, Silom is still an interesting place.
