Stella, there are some top branded resort like Bvlgari whose villas can be at over US$1,000 something, but there are also some high end resorts in Phuket like Sri Panwa, Trisara, Amanpuri whose villas are over US$1,000. So it's more or less the same. In terms of size and variety, Bali has more resorts than Phuket, but if we count the whole country, Thailand and Indonesia may be more or less the same, when we take Samui, Hua Hin to back up Phuket.

I was told same grade resort hotel in Indonesian is more expensive than in BKK.
