Ippudo Japanese ramen shop, Causeway Bay HK

Because of my last try of the branch in BKK, I decided to give it another try with this branch near Times Square.  This time the experience is totally different, from service to food.  There are more varieties on the menu and the noodle is a bit bigger than BKK.  However, I would prefer the broth of the BKK branch, which is less salty but rich in pork flavour.

Good(not too oily with good pork bone soup base) ramen is always my favorite.
I have an impression most of the food in BKK is quite salty and spicy.
Amazed to know one is less salty.
There is one in J Town called Hakata Gumi very good not oily. The wait is 1.5 hour during dinner time.

The correct name is Hakata Ramen Shin-Sen-Gumi in J Town.

Not sure how long that will last, as long as those crazy "authentic" eating fans blame this one for the broth being too unflavoured. This is always a point I argue with the others - favour, salty, sweet, sour, bitter... are all different tastes. Not salty doesn't mean it doesn't have a flavour.

I totally agree with you Sea.

A simple good steak can be tasty with good flavor although not salty.
Same as good seafood too.
Sashimi had good taste and good flavor too although not salty.

Sadly nowadays many food products are in a massive production, resulting in more seasoning. There are times I told some younger friends about some wild catch fish I had in the very old days. Just some memory now.

Sometimes less is good, simple is the best.
