這裡曾發生一椿意外。 一家三口來到這城市旅行，騎上腳踏車看看這灣區的景緻。母親因躲避一群途人，摔倒在地上，始想不到這一摔，令她整個膝蓋上的肉給撕破，血流湧下。 父親嚇得不知所措，兒子也焦急如焚，聯絡上緊急熱線， 雖然在這完全陌生環境下，兒子却清楚地形容身處所在地。最後救護車在對面行車線趕至，兒子奮力跳起揮手，渴望救護車能直接從對面線跳躍而過。

這意外將他們三口子緊緊連繫，也讓父母親知道兒子長大了。 這時我也對著自己的母親笑著說 “還記得你對我臨終時的叮囑嗎 --- 好好照顧你的妹妹?  相信你應該放心，現在她的兒子會比我勝任百倍。我也想不到這天我可對你笑著匯報這椿意外，更意外的是我倒懷念當時我哭著回應你的這個遺願。"

The last time I visited here was 7 years ago and this restaurant hadn't expanded yet.  It was quite a pleasant meal back then.  This time it was but when I checked the bill, I was reminded to give comments on the forum.   It was a bit unnecessary for reminding such when nowadays forums are not anything new.

've come a long way....

In the recent few years I have come to this area for many meetings.  Today I am glad to have seen what I have done has come true.  Though the whole course has been in many hurdles and tough times, and further at the cost of my health from stress, I am glad that I have learned a lot.  When we think we contribute to our work, I'd rather think we keep learning from our work and everyday life.  This afternoon I looked back to this area after it rained.  I found the buildings and the ground nourished and shine again.  It seemed a long path from it but these buildings were still so close.

The hotel is situated right next to the Tao Yuan MRT line (with a stop at CKS airport).  It's also very convenient for you to go to downtown Taipei in half an hour.  The room and the hotel facilities are more than those of of the downtown hotels.

Dian Shu Lau, Mitsui Outlet Park Linkou, Taiwan

This restaurant has been gaining word of mouth in Taipei but I haven't yet got a try.  A bit interesting that I could find a table in this outlet park mall.  The prices were a bit high that might make it less appealing.  After trying it, I might not even try the other branches.  The only better one is the stir fried cabbage with sakura dried shrimps but it's just the homey dish feeling to me.

Got in a flight delay and so checking in the hotel late that I had no choice but eat in the hotel.  It took quite some time for this beef noodle to serve.  When it was served, I knew why it took so long as the beef was grilled.  The soup was quite nice and not that heavily seasoned.  

Mitsui Outlet Park, Linkou, Taiwan

Outlet Park has been expanding a lot in its home country - Japan.  It has landed Taiwan in this newly developed town Linkou.  There are quite a wide range of shops here offering discounts from 10-70%.  There are also a lot of restaurants inside this mall.  Good for you to spend a day here.

In between Taipei downtown and Tao Yuen CKS Airport, up on the hill slope, there is a town called Linkou.  It is now developed into a new town.  There is a new train line running between Tao Yuen and Taipei with a stop at CKS Airport.

The good thing about this resort is that you can swim safely inside the barrier ring area.  There are quite many medium size reef sharks.  The butler made a fair comment "they are not harmful but it doesn't mean they are vegetarian.".

In addition to the cold dish and bread stations, you can choose the hot meal choices.  The cold dishes and the bread were much better than the hot dishes.
