Cielo, Crowne Plaza Kowloon East, Tseung Kwan O, HK
Interesting to have a panoramic city view with all the high rise buildings surrounding, even though the restaurant is on a rooftop of the hotel. Chose a Surf n Turf platter for 2 (at HK$900) with a half lobster, rib eye steak, fish filet and 2 lamb chops. The portion is a bit small and the lobster and fish filet weren't fresh enough. There was a salad and dessert bar but only a few choices for each station. Yet, it wasn't re-filled until I asked them to check on it. The place could be nice for a drink and a view.

紫粵軒 (Tze Yuet Heen), Crowne Plaza Kowloon East, Tseung Kwan O, HK
The dishes were quite at high price, dim sum at around HK$68-88, a boiled veggie at HK$108 and the steam stir fried rice in lotus leaves at $248. Fortunately, those were made with some selected ingredients and in good cooking skill.

Swimming in the cement jungle, Crowne Plaza Kowloon East, Tseung Kwan O, HK
The water was chilling cold because of the tall buildings around. There was only an hour of sunshine from 10-11am, if you wanna catch some precious sunshine.

Recovered seaside promenade, Tseung Kwan O, HK
2 years ago we saw how this promenade was heavily battered by the strong sea waves from the typhoon Mangkut.

Chatterbox Express, Taikooshing, HK
After it landed at K11 Musea, it targeted at Taikooshing's outskirt to Taikoo Place. Quite a wise choice as there aren't many similar shops around. Besides, quite a no. of foreign companies are in Taikoo Place. This name isn't any stranger for those who visit Singapore and often got told it was the number one Chicken Rice shop. Interesting that I was tempted to try their Bah Ku Teh (spare rib soup) and Stir fried Kuay Tew (noodles) but sold out. A bit ironic their signature chicken rice was still available. When it was served, I found it a business class main course tray for some oriental dish. The portion was indeed a bit too small. The sauce plates were the standard size, not because of a wide angle. They served an extra chili sauce because they ran out of the ginger/scallion oil. I could take 2 bites and sips and finished the soup. After all, the chicken and the steamed rice were quite nice. Ordered the barley drink and herbal drink plus a stir fried turnip cake.

Fuunmaru ramen shop, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, HK
Was told this ramen shop was quite good on Mody Road, Tsimshatsui. It moved from Wanchai to Tsimshatsui lately. Ordered their signature ramen in pork bone with dried fish soup. The soup base was quite thick. Suggest to get a side order of veggie. The waiter recommended to try their house fried chicken at just HK$15. It was quite nice and good to clear up the thickness taste of the soup.

Lumi, French Japanese cuisine, Pacific Place, HK
This place used to be taken by Cova for almost 2 decades, but now replaced by a Maxim's outlet called Lumi - a French Japanese cuisine restaurant. Tried their lunch set around HK$280. I tried their shrimp roll with mango and tomato. The shrimp patty was a bit bland (perhaps too much frozen shrimp) and the mango was the Taiwan specie. I prefer the Filipino mango as it's more fragrant, and to go with seafood. I tried their stew beef pasta. The pasta wasn't too appealing either, as it wasn't too aromatic with a fresh pasta flour. The sauce was a bit too heavy and I believe the chef just paid too much attention to the sauce. I skipped the dessert. So HK$280 for this set wasn't too justified.
