Chef Jean Louis at Aleenta Phang Nga (Phuket)

Had a chat with Chef Jean Louis tonight but this time it's not about the food since it's no doubt about it after the last two times I tried at The Table (French restaurant of Aleenta). The chat started from my curiosity of why the Table isn't open. Then there will be a new plan of a big renovation of Aleenta in the next few months. The Table will then be relocated to be closer to the beach front. A new bigger swimming pool will be there too. More pool villas and suites will be built and the spa to be put behind Ocean View Loft, with some more interesting things.
Back to the meals, there is no need to repeat all the postings since most of the food are maintained more or less the same (pls click the label Aleenta for the past review), but I need to highlight the complimentary dessert offered by Chef Jean Louis. Not because of its being complimentary, all the desserts were still so good that I cleaned up those, from strawberry mouse, choco mouse, cheese custard and the best creme brulee. See there are some sliced kiwi to clear up your taste in between each course of the dessert. Another surprising dish is the duck breast in red curry. The duck breast was done perfect that it's very tender and juicy. What amazed me is some yam (sweet potato) to go with the red curry. Never thought that yam can be a good match in red curry. Such a nice meal of tonight!

The meal is really nice. Lucky you can come here so often. Wish I were that turtle or fish from Toy R Us.
