The resort arranged a very early flight leaving Male at 6:15am (meaning waking up at 3:30am for getting to Male Airport at 5:15am). In order to make the day longer, Nika island made their local timing 2 hours ahead of Male (GMT+7) - same as BKK timing. So then when we arrive at Nika, it was 9am (7am) and we took an enroute with a stop at Vilamendhoo island (about 10 min. flight south of Nika). When you walked from the jetty to the reception, you would feel the nice atmosphere with all the national flags along the bridge. Then the reception is like a cave, reminding me of those Southern European island architecture. We were greeted by a Cantonese speaking lady (from Guang Zhou). She was very helpful and impressively knowledgeable. She even offered a complimentary breakfast (supposed we shouldn't take it on the day of arrival). A little thing she did but a big impression.

The reception area is so big and sandy, I like it.
Such a nice vacation feel.
The interesting part about Maldives is that every resort has its own characteristics.
That is good.
So you can still come many times to explore each one with its unique characteristic.
