Was told the coffee in many cafes in Melbourne are worth a try. Checked several cafes/restaurants but in general, they aren't what I prefer. As for the local food, it's a bit boring for the sandwich having the avocado/salsa dressing. The dessert reminds me of how some Filipino cuisine of having banana in most dishes. See how they put some bean sprouts on a French toast. I got a flash back of a Filipino dish with Bak Choy, dried shrimp, tomato, bitter gourd, and a whole banana in it as a stir fried. In fact, I do find a lot of Filipinos, Indonesians, Malays and Chinese of the 70's in this city. So the food and the city atmosphere reminds me of a mix of Singapore and KL.
