Also tried a new hotel called Wish Hotel on Chung Shan N. Rd. Haven't stayed in this are for a long time (more than 6 years after I left K Hotel I used to stay). The room itself is pretty good and the room rate at US$75. It's close to the subway station Xhawn Lin on Min Sheng W. Road. However, the sound proof of the room is pretty close to I-Residence of BKK.

There are many business hotels like this in Taipei. It's not necessary to connect it to any other things. I saw the clients are for business but the want it for a budge t one and clean one. Besides, there are lots of convention in Taipei and those standard hotels are always first full. Furthermore, I don't prefer those standard types of hotels like Marriott, Sheraton. So that's why I often delay my free coupon for Sheraton BKK.
in the fact that, HK shall have this kind of small hotels to ease supply while a big convention is hold
Actually, if you would notice, there are also some smaller business or hip hotels in HK, esp. in Wanchai. Walk along Jaffe Rd., you will find some. I like "the Fleming" - kind of mysterious at night time.
