i heard from my 'hotel' friend that since August cut-throat promotion no more, just normal low seasons rates, as too many tourists jam Bangkok during June/July
Bangkok just been awarded 2010 Top 1 City of the World by Travel and Leisure, so more tourists expecting
btw, Centara Grand Mirage Beach Pattaya also increase 15% rates from last month
seems Thailand is back in shape sooner than everyone expect
Har TC, It seems that MO price did go down recently from your comment here. But I remember you said Mo is the only one that did not have discount after the red shirt show. If for $350 US I will pass. Please be reminded I will only consider to stay here if it is below $300 US. Yes I love MO very much. However, I do love my wallet a lot more. :)
Yes, the road is long and winding. When you were told someone was off hand for trying to bargain for a rate, it would be a smog. Don't you forget the past game? When someone said he promised to get you a good rate, he might just "wind" speak. You know that person is in a semi-entertainment business and he knows how to entertain.
In fact, US$350 is much much worth for staying at MO. There are some hotels like that dreamy Dream Hotel which dropped its price from US$250 to US$60. So even that dream came true by 4 times, you need to wake up 4 times a night from your next door restless sleepless room guests. There wouldn't be a big frog jumping freely in the street. :)
Keep making your wish and hang on. Don't shake your faith at all times. Remember many things can be in a stock market.

BTW, BKK is rated as the top 3 popular city in the world many many times by Travel & Leisure. Please don't forget I am talking about the US version of this magazine so it is really a high honor they mention BKK a lot even in the US region.
