Loca Vore, the cafe, Renaissance Mai Khao, Phuket, Thailand

The cafe is next by the lake beneath the hotel lobby. This cafe is one of the very few in Thailand that I can get an iced mocha with syrup and milk on the side. Tried their beef burger and pad thai for lunch and both are at average. The breakfast is a bit disappointing. The bread and pastry are a bit too salty. I would consider the chef may not be much too aware of the water they used. In fact, water in some parts of Phuket is slightly salty. So if the bread is not good enough for me, the breakfast would be a big turn off. However, I had a MO program - feeding fish (the last 2nd photo). BTW, they serve ice cream at breakfast. Tried their home made chocolate and taro. Both are pretty good.

Oh the fish feeding program can sure make up the so-so breakfast.
Yes the deco and ambiance here is super.

The good thing staying at Renaissance is that they have a shuttle bus to JW Marriott but my favourite Cucina has been so fully booked until this last day here I could book a table at 8:45pm. No matter how late it would be, I confirmed a "yes". :)
