Texas Roadhouse, Dubai Mall, UAE

This chain has rapidly been growing in the States from its first shop in Indiana with its famous hand cut steak and the freshly baked bread (photo 1).  This time I didn't try their hand cut steak but the other dishes like caesar salad, chilli, deep fried fish filet and the spare ribs are pretty nice, especially the bread and chilli.  I do miss chilli a lot and it reminds me of how I have my own recipe of chilli to share with the neighbour back in the very old days.  Happy to find it in Dubai.

It seems that Dubai is very American friendly.

Yes, and also for the European. Saw quite some French and Italian shops and restaurants.

So they are very westernized not the conservative perception that I had.

Have some western restaurants may not mean they are westernized. Or I wouldn't call them conservative or not by looking at some western countries which may not accept certain things; so I'd rather say some western countries are quite conservative.

That is true too.
Some US States can be conservative and not opened minded on some topics which tend to be more liberal but make sense.

In fact, some people wouldn't wanna take new things as they want their living be intact. Nothing wrong about it. I don't like the word "globalization" as it would intrude many various local customs, religion, faith and characteristics. Either we like the other or not, we should let them have their own way.

Agreed.
We shall respect one another's own culture or life style or beliefs and not impose our own standards into theirs.

Yes, when we respect the other's faith and behaviour, that's our own faith and customs.
