Leaving J Resort Kuda Rah, Maldives

Another issue with this resort is that they employ a "hea"  (laid back) speed donhi (Maldivian boat) for the transfer to the domestic airport.  So if it's about 20-30km, the boat ride would take an hour, vs. 10-15 speed boat ride.  Then when the sea was quite rough, it would be quite rocking.
Another unnecessary thing for the resort to send their guests 2 hours before the flight, which isn't practical because all the resorts sent their guests to the airport at the same time, resulting in a long line for the check-in.  Supposed they should arrange a better timing to diverse the guests' flow.  Yet, the airport is so small that it only takes 20 minutes for all the passengers to get on the plane.  So 1 hour is good enough.  That day was in a double bad luck - an hour flight delay, causing us to wait for 3 hours at that tiny domestic airport.  So the kiosk (Cafe 27) in that airport had quite some good business.

i think Maldive overall is relatively "hea" as compared tio BKK and HK.

Yes, but only in the resort, but not spending on such a slow boat for a long journey. Besides, speed boat could save them more fuel cost, compared to having this big boat.
