The colourful sou lon bao aroused much attention on the food forums when this branch was launched in early May. Came here once but super crowded with a long queue. So I decided to try it at around 9-10pm. Still a queue was there.
photo 3: the smallest portion I have ever tried (check the sauce plate next to it and you will get to see how small of this dish). The black fungus isn't in a nice black vinegar but with heavy crushed garlic.
4: the worst is the foie gras one. Supposed they should have pan fried the foie gras and put that as a filling, but this one is horrible with heavy greasy smell. The better one is the original pork flavour.
5: wonton noodle: the noodle wasn't with any fresh flour flavour. The soup broth was too artificial flavoured.
6: stir fried egg white: the first time I could taste egg white without egg white and the vinegar isn't of any vinegar flavour. The worst dish ever!
7: stir fried shred pork in steamed crepe: I could only taste the seafood sauce. The shred pork was of some frozen meat. Then the steamed crepe wasn't in any flour flavour.
8: see how much we left!

Yummy food here.
The Xiao Lun Bao is so attractive.
Causebay really has lots of good places to eat.
BTW, I just introduced a few friends to check out Mini Hotel and also your blog here.
They are impressed with your good photos here.
Don't let that colour deceive you. I tag this post with "5 skeleton heads". No no no no no....
Mini Hotel is really nice, in terms of price and location.
Har five no OMG.
So appearance is really deceiving.
My grand ma often said "靚仔無本心" :)
Ha Ha you are funny and always make me laugh.
Sometime true but not always.
Mr Trainer is the exception.
OK you too.
Har.... Ngor.... Then "Ok you too" means complimentary.
Yes both are true statements.
Good look from outside is easy. Beauty from both inside out and outside in is not that easy except you guys.
But no need to tell Mr HK too much otherwise he is up in the sky ha ha ha....
Anyway, try to be good (presentable) on the outside and still goo inside.
Ah... He can read this every day and now every minute.
