The pride of Kurumba Maldives

The staff appear to be very proud of working in this resort and in some way a bit much too proud to be self-conceited.  For instance, as I was to ask whether I can have a late check-out and not even finished what I was saying, the front office promptly replied "our resort is so full tomorrow that not even a single room is available.  You should check out at 12 noon.".  Turned out the next day, the president of Sri Lanka were visiting this place.  No wonder the front office got in such an arrogant manner.  The 2nd instance is that when some guests were standing on the jetty pier, a senior staff came to say "no fish feeding is allowed".  Noted that those guests didn't have anything in their hands.  So I decided to sink myself into the underwater world of this place.
Why they got such a super pride is due to the history of this place.  It's the first resort accommodating foreign tourists when Maldives was open to tourists in 1972.  There are quite many historical photos around the place to show how they grew up.

They shall learn from MO.

No need to be MO's, but just to a proper resort. However, I'll still be interested to come back because of its location and nice underwater world.

Got it.
It seems they know their merits and strengths so they can be conceited a bit.

Yes, but given there aren't other new resorts on the rise, and further given those iconic figures keep coming back.
