The room is very spacious at about 35-40 sq. m. with a superb view to the mountain. It's about HK$800 net per night incl. breakfast and access to all the facilities (swimming pool/open air bathing place), it's even a much better deal than those resorts in Thailand. No wonder we hear so many Thais speaking around us.

$100 US for this room is cheap.
So Japan is not that expensive in fact.
It depends. If it's in crash of some big event like skiing game or snow festival, it can be 3 or 4 times higher.
So winter is low season for them then.
Actually they don't have quite a distinct peak or low season. It all depends on the big event or festival...etc.
