Village Alpine, Hoshino Tomamu, Hokkaido

it takes about 10 minutes to walk up to this place (in the covered walkway).  When I saw all those nice tall trees, I felt like I was in a snow forest.  Again, the restaurant offering a dinner buffet (at just HK$250 net) is a super bargain, in considering the food variety (scallop sashimi) and the super nice view!  Yet, all the dishes are beyond my expectation.  Very impressive!

Do you mean sashimi can have all-you-can-eat too with only $35 US?

Yes, it's a buffet and not cheap sashimi - they have scallop and nice shrimp and prawn...

Wow very good deal.
So not all food in Japan is pricey as long as you know the place with good food in good price.

Yes, and in the countryside, prices are not that high.
