Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Orchard Road, Singapore

Having a chain keeping their products and services in consistency isn't an easy job, not even to mention the chain across country to country.  This one is an example.  The branch in HK is the worst (I guess it was closed).  This one in Singapore isn't good either.  The drink is super sweet and the cake is a bit too sticky-chewy.  The best one is in KL and the average is in BKK.
To my experience, the only chain which can keep up with the least variant consistency could be Starbucks.

Yes SB is consistent with its drink also the good service everywhere. Very impressive.
Coffee Bean's iced mocha in LA is not sweet. But of course not as good as those we had in Japan.

Finally I found out one SB chain is going to fall out of the 10% variance quality standard. It's the Beijing branches I have recently visited. They started to cut out the amount of the coffee beans, resulting in a weak aroma and body.

So depending on where you are; different soils will grow different fruits.
China is consistent in this regards.
