When A380 got into the market 10 years ago, CX didn't get any. Later on, 787 followed. CX didn't get any. This time it's A350 and CX took a large no. of order. Within a few months, 5 planes were delivered and another 25 planes by the end of 2017.
Tried this new premium economy seat. It's with 2 extra inches as compared to the old version but it's about 1 inch less wider. I'd prefer a wider seat to a longer seat. The seat is configured with a stretched leg rest, but it's not useful for me as I prefer to stretch my legs to below the seat in front. Perhaps everything is so new that from the tray table to the toilet's door lock, it's difficult to open or switch. After all, the seat is quite comfortable with a firmer cushion and adjustable head rest. Noticed the seat cushion color went back to the very old Marco Polo class (business class) of CX.

Yes I also prefer wide seat instead of longer. So 3 inches wider is better.
