I rarely took Narita Express (express train connecting Narita Airport to Tokyo downtown) because of the lower frequency like departure every 1 hour. As this time the waiting is around 20 minutes and in thinking about the possible traffic in Shinjuku area due to the New Year's eve, I tried it finally. The train fare is JPY3,300 (US$38) as compared to the coach at JPY3,000(US$36). However, you would definitely control the time more precisely. The whole journey takes 1 hour and 15 minutes on a distance like 120-140 miles. The coach takes around 2 hours.

1. the platform. 2. the train arriving.
