Friends in town and stayed in Prince Edward area. That immediately reminded me of my old time favourite restaurant branch of Phoenix City 鳳城. The last visit was over 10 years ago. Without regret this recent visit would be my last visit. All the food were just at average, but the worst is their house signature deep fried crispy chicken. Some low grade frozen chicken was used. If it's just HK$50 for half portion, I wouldn't complain, but this one is HK$138 for half portion. Even considering this as a frozen chicken, this one was disqualified as a deep fried one. The skin was too soft and shrunk. Forget it!

Wild Fire, World Trade Centre, Causeway Bay, HK (closed)
A few weeks after this visit, this branch closed. A bit late but still hope to post it for a nice steak and a nice dessert and coffee too. A dinner set is about HK$138-198. Think I'll go try its sister branches in Central some day later.

Ling Heng Lau 蓮香樓, Sheung Wan, Central HK
This is the first time I tried this classic restaurant. The food is at average and the best dish is the stewed duck 八寶鴨 (one day booking in advance). Can tell it's slowly stewed over 8-10 hours. Even the bone is melty. The stuffing (peeled green bean, lotus seed, salty egg yolk, fatty pork, barley...) is pretty nice.

Curry Bee, Japanese curry shop, basement of Sogo dept. store Causeway Bay, HK
This shop has been in the basement of Sogo for over 15 years. The curry isn't the best but I like the way the curry sauce isn't that too strong or thin, and the rice is pretty nice. Over the years, the price hasn't been changed much, from HK$50-60 to 70-80.

Deluxe room, Eastin Grand Surasak, lower Sathorn, BKK
The room is not bad. Comfy bed and good air-conditioning system. Bathroom is nice too. The only drawback is the sound proof. There were a group of caucasian guests next to my room, chatting all night so loud, though I called the front desk for the complaint. The next day, I found out that room has lots of glasses outside the room, and smelled. Good that that was the last day I left. No eye see!

Swimming pool, Eastin Grand, Surasak, Sathorn, BKK
The infinity pool of this hotel is located on the 16th floor, taking a panoramic view to the lower Sathorn area to the riverside. The pool is somehow not big enough to cater for a full house of guests (about 200 to 300 rooms). During my stay, it happened some "natural" French speaking caucasians taking this place as care-free. They openly without any cover get changed even before some ladies in the front. When all of us noticed, we turned back with a sigh...

2013 Spring Review: Dragon I, basement, Pavillions, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Can't help from not visiting this shop whenever I am in KL. It's now even out-won Crystal Jade as it keeps on with its classic menu from not having other food that they are not specialized. The only draw back is the services of this shop. I like the smoked fish and the noodle shop a lot from this shop. Must try.

Crystal Jade Kitchen, basement, Pavillions, Bangkok
Got attracted to try their lunch set at RM15.99 (US$5) for a soup, stir fried noodle/rice and a veggie dish. It's a super bargain deal though the Malay style veggie (photo 1) isn't what I like. Crystal Jade is one of the very few which can keep its consistent quality (the good side).

Delicious by E&O Residence Kuala Lumpur
The buffet isn't that up to my expectation for such a renowned name E&O run restaurant. It's just a 2 star restaurant quality. Tried 2 days of breakfast but the fresh fruits were consistently worst. Strange smell of the papaya, super dried orange and the water melon isn't the best but the best water melon is from Malaysia. I doubt if that's the season, but when I tried the water melon in the MH lounge, not even the water melon, but also all other fruits were normal. The hot food in this breakfast can be skipped - they are like left over. The funny thing is their egg station being placed right in the middle of the restaurant without any ventilation. After the breakfast, I smelled "greasy" and I had to get changed for my business meetings later on.
