Velassaru resort, South Male Atoll, Maldives

Learned of this resort from my last year's stay at Niyama (under a sub-brand called Per Aquum of the Universal resort, but at my chat with their F&B director that Niyama will be sold to Anantara - seems like Anantara has been expanding aggressively in Maldives, with their existing 3 resorts earning much credits in Maldives).  This time I chose staying at the beach house bungalow (the lowest room grade), simply because the beach around this resort is more tempting to the water villa.  Spent more than 9-10 hours at the beach, and every other few minutes I could see a happy shark passing by or a sting ray gliding, apart from the many beautiful fishes swimming around.

Happy sharks? They are happy to see you and you are happy to see them too huh.
I noticed there is a library there. Who have time to go to library in this kind of relaxing paradise?

Anantara has earned its name from his resort in Mai Khao of Phuket, and the one called Kihavah (in Maldives) are the 2 most popular ones. They even have one in 西雙版納 - very progressive as a pioneer in some intrigue places.
